I've recently bought a tandem on ebay and wondered if anyone could help with identifying the model? I've used the links on this website and I'm pretty sure it's a Gitane Gaves from around 1973. The strange thing is the frame has the following hand written on it - Gitane 1976 PEART - with the following frame number on it - 3255608. I can't find anything anywhere on that model - has anyone come across it before? I've added a picture which may help - its a strange frame with a double top tube either side of the seat post.
Any help would be much appreciated in working out what model it actually is.
