I am selling my old Gitane now that I will not ride again. It was stored in basement for 20+ years and so shows a little rust. It had a titanium crank originally but that is gone. Most of the rest is still original with parts that wore out replaced. Please give me estimates. Thank You.

It's a late 1973, early 1974 Interclub. This was Gitane's amateur racing model.

It would have originally had sewup (tubular) tires on alloy rims and would have weighed ~23.5 Lbs.

The clincher wheels with chrome steel rims add about 3+ Lbs. to the weight plus detract from the value.

Because of the steel rims, low end components and corrosion, the current value is $25 to $100, maybe more to the right buyer looking for a large frame size.

At the peak of the fixie fad several years ago, a bike like your's could have brought up to $500 for the frame alone from a young, dumb fixie fool! Rolling Eyes

Clean and in better condition with alloy rims it could bring $150-$175.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

BTW, titanium was only used on a few extremely expensive cranks - maybe in the 1990s. The cost of the cranks alone would have far exceeded the price of your bike when it was new.
