New member here. I am the original owner of a 1971 Royal Asport. Purported to be a Gitane cousin or sub-line. Mine came set up sorta like the super corsa, but I've upgraded the drive to campy derailleurs w/ regina chain & super compe freewheel, changed the Mafac center pulls to Universal 68 side pulls and sit atop a Brooks Pro Classic.
A mid-'70s repaint took all of the decals so no real evidence of the brand. Needless to say, keeping it road worthy has been a struggle (the only current technology that is a straight replacement is tubulars) Struggling to find new stronglight 93 chainrings (122bcd) at any reasonable price. Managed to convert some kool stop pads to fit.
