I have an 1982 base Aerotub model but with full Mavic group (don't ask me why!!). The Modolo brakes that would naturally go with this are short-reach and don't fit, so I'd like some suggestions on a side-pull caliper alternative. (I have had Weinmann 730 before and have been impressed by their quality but they're a bit low-end).

I'd recommend looking at some Tektro dual pivot brakes. They offer a lot of different models including nutted and recessed mounting.

Dual pivot brakes offer superior stopping power and they look somewhat classic.

They are reasonably priced too.
