Hi there, can anyone help me with figuring out an approximate value for this vintage Gitane?

You can find bikes like this early 70s Gitane Gran Sport at thrift shops for $25-$50.
The expense to make it safely ridable and functional will cost at least $100. In the end you'll still have a bike that isn't worth much more than $150.
If it had special or sentimental value to you then the expense may be worth it.
This was an entry level model and most bikes from this era long ago became Toyotas, Nissans, Hyundais and so on...
There are "FIXIE FOOLS" who might give you a lot more just for the frame... 
The good news is the Campagnolo rear derailleur is worth at least $50!  |
