Hi! Recently i found this frame and it came to my mind that it could be Gitane TT frame. It is very similar but not same as it is on pictures that i can found on web. Question is simple: could it be real Gitane and if so which one (i have fork and seatpost for this one).
Here are some pictures.
Also one more thing what model is it?

| hi welcome, it kinda looks like a profile frame. the head tube looks like a delta headtube. never seen one with rear internal brake cable coming out of the top of the tube . top tube looks a little thick . the chain stays look round . and the seat tube is cracked where the seat goes and looks somewhat cutaway . bummer on the crack. could you post a pic of the fork and seat post? maybe a couple better pics of the seat tube and down tube? I don't know if it could be a prototype . the brazeon front derailleur hanger doesn't look right either. the second bike is a team pro slx . |

Hi, Don't think it s a Delta. The Delta frames have the seat tubes and rear stays with reverse teardrop section or the pointed end forward.
They didn't have lugged bottom bracket. etc, etc.
Lots of people making frames then so could be attempt copy.
Your nice bike looks like a 85 ish Gitane Professional. |

not sure if its a gitane, but the front derailleur braze on is for the shimano 600 & dura ace ax group.
i have a tang aero frame with the same braze on, so what ever yours is it must be a pretty quality frame.
