A few days ago I recover an old bicycle in the scrap was not painted and had no indication of who was his producer.

After cleaning were some inscriptions. I researched a lot and looks like it may be a INTERCLUB GITANE 70's.

I wonder what the experts say.

These are the features:

Original Color: Gold orange
Half chromed fork branded NERVOR
No seamless tubes
HURET dropouts
Racords BOCAMA
C312 stamped on the bottom bracket
PIVO stearin potence
NERVA 130 bottom bracket axel with french threads
MAFAC brakes
It seems that originally had SIMPLEX group
Stering RFG THE FOREZ

Inquiétants Details:

Pivot for the handles of group in the bottom of the diagonal tube.
Sleeve holder for rear derailleur are wellded

The bike is probably not a Gitane.

I've never seen a Gitane with that style Vagner fork crown.

They only used those seat stay tops in the 1960s along with Prugnat not Bocama lugs.

Those Huret dropouts were only used on European model Gitanes that came with Huret derailleurs.

My guess is that it might be a Motobecane/Motoconfort. There were dozens of French bike makers that used those frame parts during the late 1960s through the mid 1970s.

It could even be a Spanish, Belgian or Dutch bike.

Should be a nice riding bike.
