I posted to this site a few months back with pictures of an old Gitane and did not know the make/year. Thanks for those who responded, seems to be a 74/75 CDM. I am now starting a rebuild and have a question related to the rims. Any idea what rims would have came with this bike? Attached is a picture of a 32 spoke Nashbar clincher rim mounted to the Campy hub. I am certain these were not the original rim. I heard that the bike possibly came with tubulars. That could be why the original owner changed rims.
Also any idea what frame colors were offered by Gitane during this timeframe? I really don't like the green and if I repaint would like another choice close to original.
