Well, here it is. Bought this frameset back in 1988 from Gitane USA as they were closing up shop. The frameset is made of 531P tubing with Vitus dropouts, which makes it a bit of a "hybrid", not shown in the catalogues. Anyways, back then, I had some of these decals on it, but just had them "remade" and reapplied. Rode it this morning on the normal group ride ("Roger's Ride" out of Corona del Mar, California). It kicks ass!!!

By the way, the wheelset was built for me in high school as well: Mavic MA 40 rims and Campagnolo C-Record hubs. These things will survive a nuclear war.

Wait a tick?! Isn't/wasn't that your 1985 "Fignon" bike? Did you replace the SR parts with 1st gen. Record C??? I noticed it doesn't have the 3/4 chromed forks that the Team Pro's had with those decals.

No. That bike is hanging in my office. And not all of these had the 3/4 fork you are referring to.

Another picture of a bike with these decals...only they are applied upside down!

Sorry Stephan, I just remember seeing the "Fignon" bike that looks a lot like Bir Hakeim's but with previous yellow bubble lettering.

How many TP's do you have? You and Lofter need to do a group shot of your collections!
