I'm new to the forum! Thanks for all the info shared!
So, here's my beauty: A Gitane Tour de France 1976 that I bought in a flea-market in Imola (Italy) from a French collector (me being Brazilian and living in Spain...It's such a globalized world, innit?) a couple of years ago.
Stephan (the top man here) gave me some information about the bike...
So, details are:
Reynolds 531 tubing thorough out.
Huret lugs, BB & “Honeycomb” rear drop-outs
Stronglight Titanium Sealed Bearings BB
Stronglight headset
Guid handlebars
Simplex SLJ saddle post
Brooks B-17 Saddle (the only part added by me)
Mafac 2000 Center-pull brakes + Brake levers (Golden!!)
Simplex SLJ 5000 / Super LJ dérailleurs (Golden!!!!)
Simplex SLJ Gear levers (Golden!!)
Stronglight 93 Double Crankset for Italian thread Pedals with drilled chain-rings (or Spidel 105 bis with Maillard 700 French thread pedals)
Maillard 700 Professional Large-Flange hubs
Mavic Montlery Championat du Monde Tubular Rims
Zéfal Professional Frame Pump

Yes, mate. The bike has a few scuffs, but it has its original paint and decals. It was a great find!! |
