This just arrived last night. 54cm. quite original 1971 or 1972? TDF in a beautiful green color. Plenty of patina, but only needing wheels trued up, new cables and bar tape. I've been looking for one in this size for a while... John

Very nice. Should be a pleasure to ride. The finish looks great, and I like the TA water bottle.

When I was 15, I handed over$ 210 and got 5 cents back and a green Tour de France. Had to have green, just like the catalogue, and still have the bike -except the stickers-which are now cool but back then, not very.

Very nice bike. Dan

I also remember forking over $150 for a beautiful gold colored Interclub that I rode all over San Diego while in high school. Sadly, I sold it 3 years later to "upgrade' to a Viscount Aerospace Pro. It took me a while to find this TDF in my size; a very nice original owner shipped it to me from Ohio. Probably spent too much money for it; but as anyone here knows, when you find the right bike you might just have to dig deep....

Isn't that the truth (regarding cost)! People have asked me what my 1987 is worth...and I tell them I don't know, because to me, it is priceless: The bike I always wanted, so no amount of money could be offered for it. But in reality, it is worth much less I am sure.

When your "dream" bike comes up on ebay, you just have to pray that the timing doesn't coincide with one other person in the world being in the same position as you!

John, Beautiful velo. If one looks in the background carefully, one might see an image of "Le Normand Blonde" (Anquetil). I am sure that he would approve! Enjoy your new TDF.
Bienvenue,
Peter H.
