I bought this all original from ebay Australia. I only had to change the wires and tires. Sorry about the trek water bottle but hey, it matches! I went with the yellow as Michelins made in England are no longer available. I bought it because all of the important parts are french instead of elsewhere. I did remove that crazy Atax plastic seat post and replaced it with aluminum.

SUPER!! Very Happy

I'm seriously impressed that you paid the freight to get it from Aust to the USA. Just ask either Sandman or myself about the freight charges. Ouch! It hurts. I saw that one on ebay over here. Glad it has gone to a good home.

The Host. look great too. Good job, mate.

No "one speeds" in this house! Out here in the stix we got hills! The freight did hurt, but it ain't easy to find a nice Gitane of this era in this condition here in the states. And for some reason the more expensive model came with shimano parts! I love that the only Japanese parts on this bike are the reflectors! Nothing wrong with Japanese parts, its just that it's no trouble to find them here.

Did you have any problems getting it to ride on the right side of the road? Laughing

Looks great,

Chas.
