Hi, the "new" '70's blue Gitane I picked up several months back is pretty much finished.
The Sugino Mighty cranks were original with a Gitane plastic dirt protector inside the bottom bracket. The cranks are now a Stronglight 93 with 105 chain wheels. The derailleurs are older Super SLJ with later Retrofriction shifters.
Some Maillard 700 pedals (easy to get into) and a new chain and super long seat post out of England and this bike is very, very nice to ride. Frame is a bit small for me but it makes the bike very soild.
