Found a frame in the right size on ebay.

Not having done any restoration work to speak of, it doesn't look like a great challenge. My first question is what drive train components should I be looking for?

That really isn't a "highly collectible" frameset. Those were made in Japan and imported to the USA in the mid-late 1970s.

If you are building something for just around town, that would be fine. But it isn't really anything worth restoring. You will end up spending $500 on a bike that is worth $150, so I wouldn't worry too much about what you put on it.

The good news is that it should be english/standard threaded.

I was guessing that it was not 'super special' but for a townie bike for pulling the kids in a trailer, it would fit the bill. At least it isn't a Pe****.

Todd,
With careful shopping I think you can do it for a VERY modest investment. The Headset/stem, Bottom bracket, and crank set are there. The Suntour derailleurs (smooth shifting) as listed for it in the 1977 Catalog can be purchased at a reasonable price on eBay. A 27" wheel set can be had for not much money.

Good for a rainy day project.

Todd,
Here's the deal. If you decide to purchase this Bike and WIN, I will donate (for postage cost only) the Randonneur bars and SunTour Compe-V front derailleur as in the specs. Both are USED but 100% serviceable.

Plus, I found a pair of Dia-Compe Brake levers (no hoods) that I will throw in also...

Thanks for the offer. I will gladly accept it if I do win the auction.
