Wouldn't this be a great item for anyone's collection !!!

Hope You Get a Response & Help.

I really like that ChainGuard ---seems like there was a post earlier this year or late last year of just that ornamental piece from a bike.

Sorry --I'm rambling & somewhat out of it (as witnessed by my earlier post about Grant's TdeF last night--with 3 edits this morning to get it right) Rolling Eyes from antihistamines-decongestants and various Rx's fighting a particularly nasty upper respiratory "Seasonal Cold" that came out of nowhere 4 days ago---just lock me up with Hot Chocolate & Pabulum until I can ............duh, function again.

Anyhow good luck Steven ---a really nice antique 'townie bike' with all those neat accessories---Hope someone can help make this happen!!!

OK, .............. I'll be quite now. Wink

I Like Steel !!!!!

So........... when you say you'll cover the costs......

I'd be more than happy to fly from Brisbane to France, pick up the bike, fly France to California to drop the bike off to you, then fly back to Australia. I reckon the whole thing will take about 6 - 8 weeks, and I'll need to take my missus with me......... to help carry the bike box you understand. Laughing Whaddya reckon matie?

Good luck Sandman. Looks a lovely bike.

I would agree, but I am sure that you wouldn't want to go in March, right? If the auction were set to end in July, I would definitely pay you to pick up the bike for me. Wink

Stephan, have you contacted the seller? They often ship worldwide
when you ask for it.

Holger

P.S. my plans are to go to France that year with a camper, but thats in August.

Hi Stephan,

can you ask the seller how long he might store the bike for a local pick-up?
there will be certainly a friend of mine going to Pau sooner or later Rolling Eyes

I am bidding on the bike...i'll see if it is worth where it goes, but I imagine it will be.

If I get it, does anyone want a smallish "Tourister"?

I did! Actually, that is a lie. My wife did! I was in mediation this afternoon, and my wife...who, you will agree, rocks...went onto Ebay and put in our maximum bid at the last moment. I love her!

Now I just have to make arrangements to get it over here. The seller said he would ship it for a fixed amount, so let's see what happens. Any way you would like to offer to help if things get a bit sticky (i.e. with translations)?

The seller said he would pack it...and he has other bikes, so I guess I will trust him (?). The bigger issue is payment. He accepts checks, so I will have to figure out how I can get him a check. I would rather pay with paypal, because I hate sending that amount of money via post.

Congratulations on the buy Stephan, a super looking classic french bike.

Enjoy when you receive it. Just perfect for a visit to the coffee shop, or even to get the bread.

Tim
