Well, the Pro Tour kicks off this weekend in Australia and it looks to be a fantastic race.

While looking for alternative angles on the race I came across this great three part interview with Robbie McEwen. Part 3 shows Robbie explaining his equipment and bike, and he gives a super insight into some aspects of his bike's design as well as the number of bikes he and the team use.

Interesting interview. I mainly just looked at part 3. It's pretty amazing the amount of attention given to aerodynamics. The drag is proportional to the square of he speed, so sprinting at 70 kph, it makes sense. He says if it saves you a millimeter, and you win by a millimeter, it's worth it.

I too found it fascinating. Really nice to see a Pro rider talking about his bike in that way.
