I traded emails with Prendas Ciclismo over the past two days. I was _hoping_ to partner with them (I make the art, they make the product, I get some free stuff) to get Systeme U repo gear made but they are not interested. Here is their reply:
Thanks for your email, glad you like the retro range. We are always in the process of trying to have some of these classic jerseys re-created but it is not always as easy as it seems. The rights to re-production rest with the sponsoring company and they might be unwilling to have a jersey bearing their name re-produced commercially after their sponsorship agreement has ended.
So, it looks like I am going to find another avenue to make this happen. I have the artwork for Systeme U jerseys done and I have found a company will do jerseys but they don't do bib shorts. The joys of trying to recreate the past...
