I have my 72 for sale.

THE BIKE HAS BEEN SOLD TO A GENTLEMAN IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA.

1972 Gitane "Tour de France" racing model. Excellent condition. The Campagnolo Nuovo Record components are bike shop upgrades at the time of original purchase, from the spec'd Simplex Criterium derailleurs it would have come with. The Campy components all date to 1972.

Cristophe clip cages with Lapize leather straps (leather is in excellent condition).
Mavic Montherly tubular rims
Mafac Competition brakes and levers (including original Mafac hoods in very good condition).
Pivo alloy bar and stem
Lapize seat post
Brooks B17 Professional saddle with large copper rivets in very good condition.
The tubular tires hold air but are old and WILL need to be replaced (Yellow Jersey, 3 tires for $50).

Paint is faded in some areas from the California sun. Typical chips and small scratches here and there, but very nice for a 45 year old vintage bicycle from cycling's classic era.
