Hi all. Thought I'd post some pictures of my 1975ish Gitane Mexico Piste I've kept built up with period parts, except for the clincher wheelset. I've got the original tubular wheelset as well, but they're sitting without tires right now.
Here it is with the original french stem (Pivo i think) and narrow track drops:

But for road riding I've installed a clamp-on brake and some wider handlebars:
It's a great ride; tons of fun, and the paint is gorgeous in the sunlight. |
