Last year I jumped in a restored a mostly original 1970 TdF. It was a blast and a great learning experience. I just purchased and stripped down a new project. A real basement find. Thinking it's a 1971-73 SC but the jury is out pending further investigation. What I do know is....
Campy derailleurs
Stronglight crank and BB
Campy dropouts front and rear
Prugnat lugs
"fish mouth" fork ends
Brooks saddle
Cinelli bars and stem
Weinemann Carerra brakes
Campy tall flange hubs (Record?)
Rigida clinchers
Campy head set
Orange paint.
One of the rear dropout adjuster screws is broken off.... bitch.
I know the orginal owner, since passed, and he maintained it but believe he had not altered it. So far that's what I know.
Photos to follow. |
