The first one is the best...as 1 minute into it, Hinault ends up going off the cliff, then climbs up and gets back on his bike. Balls.

Thanks Wisey, those are great.

That was no small cliff Hinault went off. You'd think they'd be carrying him off on a stretcher. A guy from the team car reached over and pulled him up, then he got a new bike off the car.

Do you think that Gitane is still down there?

There is a question I hadn't even considered. Just think about the history of the tour de france and other bike races in the alps and pyranees...I wonder how many bikes are at the bottoms of ravines?

Also, does anyone have footage of Fignon in the 1988 tour, when he goes off a cliff and has to climb out...gets a new bike, and then wins the stage? I think there is youtube footage of him winning the stage (it is a mountain top finish, with the real battle as between Roche and Delgado), but Fignon went off of a cliff earlier in the stage.

Actually, the guy from the team is Cyrille Guimard himself.
