I think that the 1980 TT was already out. The "prototype" has to be the delta, wouldn't you think?

lmao ive already been bitten by the horton bug once on the lemond frame.

It would be really interesting to know what the riders thought of the deltas......

In both the 83 and 84 tours, they rode normal bikes in preference to funny bikes in many of the tt's. Did they see funny bikes (& the delta) as just a prologue bike?

I think 85 was the first time that the delta was widely used.

Also interesting that in 85 & 86, Fignon still prefered a set of light weight Roval wheels over the disc.
