| Good luck - personally (no offense meant) but at those prices I would be looking for something that is absolutely pristine with no chips, scrapes in the paint, etc. |

| Yes, that is what some people do. But, I only restore mine with the exact components and leave it in condidtion riders left it in. In any case, value is very subjective to brand, rider and history. |

very nice 83 , has the correct "gitane "decal on the down tube. value is very subjective. if it is madiots bike wow that is cheap . two very nice bikes.probably selling yourself short on the 83.what do we put on value? what prices would we pay for awsome bikes with pedegrees?what value would we put on per say a delta?the track delta? different other gitanes? condition, rider, history are all ways of valueing bikes. how about rarity?
you say you know its a team bike buy the serial numbers, whats the secret way of knowing how its a team bike by the serial #'s? do you know the mystical gitane serial number sequences?please share your knowledge. |
