i got a rare french treading campa SR bottom bracket for my gitane. its the version with aluminium cups and 113mm axle.

original was a sugino BB with a longer axle installed but is was to long for my campa SR cranks. so i took a 113mm axle from an old shimano 600 BB ( very tricky) and is was ok. but now the campa BB with the same length 113mm is to short????? the left crank touches my chainstay now.

should i change to a 116mm axle or take a nadax BB which a have with 114 or 115mm axle??

Here's a link to a site with a lot of info on Campy BBs

http://www.bicycleclassics.com/bottom.html

There's a lot of info and I had to read it several times to figure out the details.

Chas.
