This is from a posting on slowtwitch.com:

"Bob Babbitt and Huddle radio interview...........it may take a few minutes to download, but worth listening to. LeMond speaks his mind.

Good stuff. "

He seems like such a regular guy, but he knows so much. Brilliant.

april 28, 2007 on last saturday, i brought my lemond bike with me to the freewheel bike shop for trying to get greg lemond's autograph.

i was in middle of people in line to wait until greg lemond was done with his presentation. one person who sat next to greg lemond and tried to look for me. he gave me a eye contact and make gesture "you come". I said, "me?" so i went to be front of line. he read a e-mail loud to greg lemond and the audience (fans) what i just had asked dude, who works at the freewheel, a favor to introduce me to grey lemond & ask for his autograph. just tell him that i am deaf, had a bike accident and stayed at the hospital for 40 days last august. when i overcome my bike phobia, i bought his lemond triomphe bike last fall that i was not ready to ride. it helped to inspire me to train myself for speed up my recovering in winter even i have not ridden it yet. if it helps lemond publication then my mom has diabetes too. lemond is the honorary chairperson for the american diabetes association's tour de cure. perfect for freewheel blog how much it has helped the community to be great. then greg lemond gave me his autograph on my bike for me then he make sure if i want him to sign on my two posters too. He made time to sign each poster to address cat6 for racing squad and c4 (crooked cogs cycling club) for deaf cyclist separately.

dude, josh & owner, kevin at the freewheel bike shop
thank you for introducing me to grey lemond!

p.s. next day on sunday at the ironman, i made it to 100 miles routine with this lemond autograph on bike! i was slow that a lot women and old men passed me but my goal was reaching at 100 miles!

buzz

greg lemond's autograph to address:
"To the Crooked
Cops Cycling Club for
the Deaf cyclist,
Be safe and keep riding,
Greg Lemond"
forgive my bad penmanship that he thought cogs was cops.
enjoy to take a close look at lemond's autography on poster to c4!

Thanks for sharing Buzz. This might be a gitane forum, but I reckon that about 99.9% of members are Greg LeMond fans too.

Goo on ya Greg! Great to see a guy who still make time for the fans after all these years. Not like some other notable riders.

bad me. i plan not to put the lemond's autograph picture on this forum because i knew this forum is for gitane purpose only. i saw lemond radio interview on this thread and i can't hear it because i am deaf. Crying or Very sad

i decided to chose this gitane forum over www.bikeforums.net that gitane owners deserve the special honor to see these picture of lemond, his autograph and i as lemond bike & gitane bike owner. i just want this gitane forum to attract more readers who are fans of lemond and should be aware of gitane bikes as important role that lemond rode it at tour de france.

I might get in trouble from our most esteemed host, the Right Honourable Lord Sandman Wink , but bring on the Greg stuff! Hey, I'm not offended in any way. I'd love to see the autographed pics of your bike.

Does anyone kow of a link to a transcript of the LeMond interview for Buzz to have a read?

That's a great story, I'm happy for you, Buzz.

Thanks for sharing.

Anything related to Greg is related to the big Gitane history.

If I had a chance to write a book about cycling, it would go from 75 (Hinault's debut) to 1991 (LeMond's demise) and cover careers of Hinault, Fignon & LeMond...the link between them all being...Gitane, Guimard & the Renault team.

Cycling has never been the same since then.

I'm planning on writing to Greg to have a jersey autographed. Anyone could supply US stamps for the SASE ??? I would gladly pay with paypal...french wine...old french cycling magazines...you pick !
