The top tube on my early 80s Gitane Sprint broke clean through yesterday. I loved this bike(it was originally my fathers) but I'm not sure if there's much that can be done to save it.

Do you have close ups of the other lugs on the bike? Does it appear to be a Reynolds frame but cro-mo fork?

With Leader on the top tube I would suspect that it's a level down from the replica model. The 94 catalogue shows it that way. Unfortunately, the 90's info here is not as available.
