I have at least 30 sets of classic wheels with Mavic rims from the mid 60s to the late 80s in both clincher and sewup styles. At least 75% of them have corroded ferrules.

So are the black versions actually black, or a just darker gray? The set I have on my Team Pro are gray, but with the front rim a darker gray than the rear. Both are 32-hole and identical width. ...

I had read the taller 979 frames were indeed whippy but since I ride 52-54 cm frames I don't know that it would be as noticeable - and I tend to ride pretty hard.

Heck, those aluminum framed road ...
